September Matches - Men's 1sts

After going to Belfast this weekend the Men's side of the club will have done a fair bit of pre-season travelling so it's nice to know that we have 4 HOME games in September, 3 friendlies and 1 competitive as follows:
1. Saturday Sept. 6th - vs. Newry
2. Saturday Sept. 13th - vs. Glenanne (Cup)
3. Saturday Sept. 20th - vs. 3 Rock 2nds
(This will be cancelled if we're still in the Cup)
4. Saturday Sept. 27th - vs. Skerries
(The weekend after the Skerries game the Men's 1sts have their first league game.)
Times etc. to be confirmed as yet. Also, meet times for trip to Belfast to be finalised and a text will be sent around tomorrow.
See you at training tonight, 7pm. Please let me know if you can't make it.

Coach Men 1st

Great to be in a club with such a good atmosphere and turnout for training. Just played our first test match, 3 all draw Kilkenny away, but won 5-1 on penalty strokes ! A match with two halves: an all most perfect 1st half: 2nd half falling back into old habits and fitness wise too. 2 x 40 min. was not easy. It showed us where we have to do some extra work. Finn and Elliot thanks for subbing. Next weekend a serious trip up North.
Bill and GB: well done for getting everything well on track.

Men's subs

Lads,
Just to let you know we really need members to pay their subs sooner rather than later this year, especially on the Men's side, for obvious reasons. I would appreciate it therefore if you can arrange to get them to me or other committee member ASAP. Also, i will be asking you for them in training next week.
A lot of work by various people has gone in over the Summer with a view to making this season enjoyable and a success and so it would be nice to get the money dealt with early and be able to focus on the hockey.

thanks to all those who have already answered but just a reminder to those who haven't - can you please get the questionnaires emailed back to me in the next week or so or fill out the sheet i gave you and give it to me at training.
It helps a lot in terms of organising things, setting goals, providing focus for training etc and is especially important seeing as we have a new coach who doesn't know any of us yet!

Preseason Start Dates

Start dates for all teams are as follows.
All Ladies Teams start 7 p.m. Wednesday the 6th of August, on pitch.
All Men's Teams start 7 p.m. Tuesday the 29th of July, on pitch.
Men's 2nds start league fixtures the 13th of Septmeber. All other teams start league fixtures on the 4th of October (over 2 months for preseason).
Colts starts up fully Sunday the 20th of September, registration from 12.30. (U-16 squads may start earlier for some pre-season coaches will contact with details).
All other information regarding start of season, coaches etc is due to be sent out early this week.
