Match Report - Mens 3rds Won against Pembroke 4-0

Another successful day for the young bulls of the 3s as our unbeaten streak continues in the league. We took on the Pembroke 7s we took it to them from the start.

With the backbone of the team (Wal, Dan Ash, and Monty) drawing on their experience we were able to stop them attacking deep and take possesion. From there we used the vast amount of energy the the U20s seem to have to make sure they spent 90% of the game on the back foot. A great save from our outstanding keeper Claude Mollard kept it at 0-0 and a goal from Monty in the first half gave us the lead we well deserved. Goals from Amaron and two penalty flicks from Chops in the second half finished it off.

Finn, Lorcan and Jake played brilliantly at wing back stopping any threats from the line. Timmy Cullen in midfield had another superb game working harder than anyone else on the field (in my opinion) creating gaps that set the offence in play.

The team as whole is gelling superbly and with a tough game away against 3 Rock Rovers next week, we will be tested yet again. It is great testiment to the youth coaches of the Club that this team is showing such promise especially Billy who coaches most of them.

Ive failed to mention half the team but this is long enough as it is.
