The men's indoor team were in action again this weekend in their final game of the qualifiers of the national indoor championship. They went into the game knowing that a draw against Railway would be enough to qualify and a win guaranteeing a top seeding.
A tight game seen Railway take the lead on three occasions only each time to be drawn back level by the Tarf at every step.
Firstly a quick attack found Tom Noonan, a late minute addition to the squad recovering from a broken hand to pass a fitness test on Thursday night, proved his selection by calmly slotting home from a tight angle. Titch Doran, as like last year guesting for the club, was second to finish easily after a clever reverse pass from James Gurbiel. Gurbiel then turned from provider to scorer late in the second half to square things up for the third time in the game.
A couple more chances came for both sides but the goal scoring was finished for the day with some brilliant keeping from Steven Ciarns, out psyching one of the English brothers to put a flick wide in the first half and saving another flick from the second brother.
A well deserved and hard fought draw see's the Tarf progress to the final weekend on the 14/15th of January.
