Match Report - Boys U-16 Won against Weston 5-2

Following last weeks disappointing loss to Corinthians, clontarf came
out this week looking for their first win of the season.

Things did not start well however when through some quick Weston play,
they fell one nil behind. However from the restart Clontarf went all
out attack and through Kev Mullins, captaining the side, scoring on
our third short corner with a drag. Conor Moran followed this up with
a well finished rebound while John Mullins opened up a two goal lead
going into half time with a close range finish.

As the half restarted, Tarf looked the hungrier for more goals and
indeed they came with a two quick goals, again one from Kev with good
individual play and the other from Diarmuid Goggins, another short
corner drag.

Clontarf seemed to take their foot off the gas and Weston came back
into the game with several chances and managing to score one.

Clontarf responded with an all out attack mentality which reaped many
opportunities but did not trouble the Weston goalkeeper with some
great chances for Sean Cassidy, Lochlan Attack and Kev Mullins.

The game ended 5 2 to Clontarf with many league games and the cup still to play.
