The ladies 3rd arrived at Botanic with the hopes of nothing less than a win after their 3-1 win the previous week, however Botanic have always proved a tough team. The 3rd started well attacking the Botanic circle but getting few shots on the goal, we had 2 short corner opportunities in the first half but failed to convert them to goals, despite Marg’s strong hits going either side of the goals. The 2nd half started and unfortunately we conceded to quick goals from some very fast Botanic forwards who got past our defence and were not to be caught as they pulled the ball wide to dodge the lone goal keeper. Our heads dipped a bit but we didn’t give up and kept attacking, but never managed to score and then Botanic got a 3rd goal, leaving the final score 3-0, the consolation prize was the tasty home made treats that Botanic had baked! Away to Naas this Saturday and hoping to definitely win and add some more points.
