Club COVID Policy
Health Declaration Form
At least 30 minutes before each session a health declaration form will have to be submitted via an online application for each participant and coach. If this form has not been completed entry to the pitch will not be permitted.
Session Protocols
Each group will be asked to arrive no more than 5 minutes before the allocated session. This is to allow players to leave the pitch and coaches to clean up or set up before sessions.
On arrival at the ground, participants must wait in the car with their parent or guardian until 5 minutes before the session start time. Participants may then enter the pitch via a pre-assigned gate allocated to their group or pod. Each group or pod will have a maximum of 15 participants including the coach/coaches. A COVID compliance officer will take the registration at the gate and will ensure that each participant sanitizes their hands before entering the pitch.
Sessions will be planned based on the guidelines on the date of the session.
Under level 2 restrictions games may be played as part of the session within each pod.
Under level 3 restrictions sessions will be skill-based only and player contact will be avoided where possible.
Under level 4 restrictions it is likely that Hockey Ireland will issue a statement that all hockey is on hold.
For health and safety reasons a parent/guardian of each participant must stay within the grounds of the sports complex at all times and must be contactable by phone. However, under current guidelines parents/guardians must remain in their car for the duration of the session and not stand or congregate around or near the pitch.
There are toilet facilities available in ALSAA, these are used for by various clubs and are approximately 200 meters from the pitch. Please ensure your child/children have gone to the toilet before arriving in ALSAA. Parents/Guardians must accompany their own child to the toilet if needed.
At the end of each session, the COVID compliance officer for each group will ensure that each participant sanitizes their hands and will oversee that each participant has been collected by a parent or guardian. Parents/guardians must maintain social distances when collecting their child and should not enter the pitch at any stage. There is plenty of space around the pitch environs to ensure this process can happen easily.
