In Memory of Thelma Skoyles

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Thelma Skoyles on Sunday morning.

Thelma was a founder of Clontarf Ladies Hockey Club, later becoming Clontarf Hockey Club and was inducted into the Club’s Hall of Fame in 2018.

Thelma, as Club President alongside numerous other roles, was the heartbeat of Clontarf for decades both on and off the pitch. She was a lifelong supporter following the progress of all teams with keen interest throughout her life.

Our thoughts are with Lesley, Tracey and Karen and the rest of her family at this very difficult time.

The family would like to let people know that there will be a service to celebrate Thelma’s life at a later date.

Thelma, for those of us who knew you well and for those of us who didn’t get the chance to, we all owe you a debt of gratitude for your enormous contribution to Clontarf Hockey Club.
