A promising mixture of experience and youth lined out for the Mens 3s in an exciting fixture against YMCA 4s. Clontarf started the game strong playing some nice attacking hockey and managed to win an early short corner however following the corner YM took the lead from a counter attack.

For the rest of the game Clontarf put the pressure on the visitors, narrowly missing some close chances and hitting the woodwork 3 times. Local talent Robert O’Brien was unlucky to have his top D volley cleared off the line. Unfortunately Clontarf were unable to find an equaliser and the match ended 0-1. Morale was high after game as they had played some of their best hockey so far this season and the team is eager to build on the day’s performance and and show that the results so far are not a true reflection of the their ability.

Final Score: 1-0
