The 3s set out on Saturday with hopes of getting their season back on track after a disappointing loss to Dublin North the week prior. UCD came with a small squad which spurred on Clontarf. Tarf started off fast and it didn’t take long for the first goal to come. Kev found himself up the right wing and swung in a beautiful cross which was finished on the reverse by a diving AP.

UCD starting growing back into the game and during a lapse of concentration Clontarf conceded two goals. 2-1 to UCD. The boys came back strong and it didn’t take long for them to win a short corner which Noel smashed home to level things out. As the match wore on and UCD grew tired the chances kept on coming for the threes. A shot from Luke was saved by the keeper but only as far as the welcoming stick of Butzy who slotted another away past the keeper. The match finished 3-2 to Clontarf which leaves them joint top of the league with North Kildare.
